The Ladies

Oh my, almost halfway through our photography classes. I am kind of sad that it is almost over! Well, the family is on their way over to go out for Dad's birthday so I wanted to share with you the pictures I took of the two models that Virgil had come to class. Thanks Vivien & Megan for coming out. You ladies are beautiful!

Class Session 2

Today we had a local model come in and model for us as we learned more about our Aperture Priority Mode (AV), which is very cool. We had a lot of fun shooting in this mode, this may be my favorite setting thisfar. Virgil also showed us how to use our Af Point View, which was very cool.

Back to the Country

What do you get when 354 blueberries try to go through the door at the same time?

A Blueberry Jam, Silly!

I am home for a few days visiting my family and friends. Well yesturday dad came up and asked if I wanted to go Blueberry picking at a friend of the family's blueberry patch. And what do you think my response to that was...."Heck yes I love me some fresh produce."

My dad is a farmer so my whole life I have always had access to straight from the field grub. There is nothing better than being a farmer's daughter!
Here are a few shots from the farm that I took a not to long ago.

Enjoy,

Now back to that Assignment
"Your Life in Pictures" Workshop: Intro to Digital Photography

At this point in the class we are learning how to manipulate our camera's shutter speed and aperture. The class as a whole was asked to shoot a subject with a good source of natural light practicing what we learned about shutter speed and aperture (f-stop).

I went for the Hi-C Flashin' Fruit Punch container that I had drank this morning. My latest infatuation...brings back childhood memories. So here we go:

Part 1: Manipulating Shutter Speed:

Shutter speeds 1/80, 1/60, 1/40, 1/30, 1/20, 1/15. @ F-14, and ISO 100

__________________________________________________

Shutter speeds 1/100, 1/125, 1/160, 1/200, 1/250, 1/320. @ F-14, and ISO 100

Part 2: Manipulating Aperture:

F-stops: 14, 13, 11, 10, 9.0, 8.0. Shutter Speed: 1/60 and ISO 100.

What am I doing here?

So here I am starting a blog. What do I say, what do I write...my mind is going a hundred different directions. I assume a better place than none to start would be why am I here...assignment 1, that's why!

Just last week I started my first photography class and as one of our first assignments we were asked to create a blog, somewhere we could express our artistic vision.

I love taking pictures, mainly of the sky and nature its self, however I also adore taking snapshots of the newest addition to my family, Logan Lynne, my first and only niece at the time.

I am so exctied to be an Aunt!!

But the one little girl that got me started with it all, Miss. Rylie Mason. She is the most adorable Red Headed, blue eyed girl I know...

All in all I can't wait to get started sharing with you what make me so excited about taking pictures...
